How will the NEA compare to other FFF printers in terms of ghosting and ringing when printing 100 micron and lower layer heights?
Our printers employ different methods to deal with ghosting, ringing, xy and z resonese. Those methods exist partly due to our patented precisions components, methodoly on prints as you go higher in the Z, and how we minimize backlash and releasing of vabrations.
Do you expect any difference in resolution, quality and amount of ringing between the 3 size models? (Mini, PRO, PRO+)
All Printers come with the same electronic compents that drive the printer. The one exception is the heated plate that does not come stock but as an upgrade to our Mini.
Are you offering different Nozzle diameters?
We are truly modular. Everything from the nozzle to the extruder, to the in board electronics in our Core drawer is upgradeable and easily replaceable by the you the user. We are working on creating extruders and heads that accommodate all diameters, or at the least provide a design file that you can print yourself to accommodate what you have at your disposal.
So how fast is it? I have designed stuff that would take 40 plus hours on a printrbot and that’s only a 6×6×6 build area.
50mms or less for prints that have a layer height of 25 to 100 microns will take a long time but give you sweet accuracy good enough for small jewlery or precisions mechanical components. 100/150ms for layer heights above 250 microns should give you decent results for toys that don't require accuracy, or larger objects that are bigger than your hand.
